We are committed to making AIRec accessible to everyone. This page describes the accessibility features available in AIRec and our ongoing efforts to improve the experience for all users.
Vision
VoiceOver & TalkBack Supported
AIRec is compatible with VoiceOver (iOS/macOS) and TalkBack (Android). Screen readers can navigate all screens, buttons, and content. Recording controls, note lists, and settings are fully labeled for assistive technologies.
Dynamic Type & Text Scaling Supported
Text throughout the app respects your device's text size preferences. Increase or decrease font size in your device settings and AIRec will adapt accordingly.
Sufficient Contrast Supported
All text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast requirements in both light and dark modes. Primary actions, labels, and content are clearly distinguishable from their backgrounds.
Differentiate Without Color Alone Supported
Important information is never conveyed through color alone. Icons, labels, and shapes are used alongside color to indicate status (recording, paused, processing), plan types, and interactive elements.
Motor
Voice Control Supported
AIRec works with Voice Control on iOS and macOS. All buttons and controls are accessible by name. Users can start recording, stop sessions, navigate between tabs, and manage notes entirely hands-free.
Switch Control Supported
The app is navigable via Switch Control. All interactive elements are focusable and activatable through adaptive switch devices.
Large Tap Targets Supported
Primary controls like the recording button, navigation tabs, and action buttons are designed with large touch areas (minimum 44×44 points) to accommodate users with limited fine motor control.
Display
Dark Interface Supported
AIRec fully supports Dark Mode on iOS, macOS, and Android. The app automatically follows your device's appearance setting, or you can set it manually in the app's settings. The dark theme uses carefully chosen colors to reduce eye strain while maintaining readability.
Reduced Motion Supported
When "Reduce Motion" is enabled in your device accessibility settings, AIRec minimizes animations. The waveform visualizer, page transitions, and carousel auto-sliding adapt to respect this preference.
Bold Text Supported
Enabling Bold Text in your device settings applies heavier font weights throughout the app for improved readability.
Audio & Media
Captions & Transcription Core Feature
AIRec's primary function is audio transcription — every recording is automatically converted to text. This serves as real-time captioning for meetings, lectures, and conversations. Transcripts are searchable, editable, and exportable.
Audio Descriptions Partial
AI-generated summaries, key points, and action items provide text-based descriptions of audio content. While not traditional audio descriptions, they offer comprehensive text alternatives for all recorded audio.
Language
Multilingual Support 20 Languages
AIRec supports 20 languages: English, Japanese, French, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Arabic (with RTL layout), Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese.
RTL Layout Supported
Right-to-left languages such as Arabic are fully supported with proper text alignment and mirrored interface layout.
